About this model and your work

A hypothetical competitive coffee market. Quantity is thousands of cups per day; prices are dollars per cup. Straight lines simplify the illustration. In Cases 2 and 3, all other influences are held fixed, and we compare equilibria after the market adjusts. The model shows possible outcomes, not estimates of a real market.

Case 1 isolates the quantity demanded at a given price. It does not explain why the market price changed or claim that the chosen price clears the market.
